A season‑by‑season path to the strongest units in Conqueror’s Blade

TL;DR: Focus on five specific seasons—Sparta, Alexander, Dragonrise, Legacy of Fire, Eternal/Sengoku—to unlock meta‑relevant T4/T5 troops quickly. Together they give you a durable frontline, premium cav, ranged suppression and fire AoE, all attainable through seasonal challenges rather than random schematics.

Why Follow a Season Roadmap?

New warlords drown in dozens of unit lines. Seasonal challenges, however, let you earn powerful troops for free just by playing battles. Prioritising the right seasons accelerates your power curve, saves honour, and avoids wasted silver on obsolete units. Each season below supplies at least one unit that remains S‑ or A‑tier even after balance passes.

Season Checklist

SeasonMust‑Unlock Unit(s)Why They Matter
Sparta (“Leonidas Glory”)T5 Spartan ChosenTower‑shield hoplites with self‑heal and 70 % DR windows—top‑tier gate/breach anchor.
AlexanderT5 Phalanx, T4 Companion CavalryPhalanx is the hardest‑hitting spear wall; Companions combine high burst and flank speed, both still core in Territory War.
DragonriseT4 Wuwei Mansion GuardSelf‑healing sword infantry that selffeeds health on every hit—dominates prolonged brawls.
Legacy of FireT4 Symmachean Paladins
T4 Symmachean Stalwarts
T5 Flamethrowers
Paladins give a cheap yet tanky shield wall; Flamers remain the best area‑denial unit in the game.
Eternal / SengokuT5 Yanyuedao, T5 Orochi SamuraiBoth are high‑burst melee elites—Yanyuedao excel at anti‑shield sweeps; Orochi reward skillful counters.

Season Order & Time Investment

  1. Start with Sparta – the current live season (Dec 2024 → Feb 2025) gives immediate hoplite value. Completing the entire pass takes ~15-20 hrs of Siege/Field battles with daily quests.
  2. Jump to Alexander – Phalanx unlock segment alone is doable in ~12 hrs if you focus quests
  3. Dragonrise third – Wuwei path is shorter (~5-10 hrs) thanks to overlapping contracts; they hit “ready”
  4. Legacy of Fire – expect 10-15 hrs; Paladin tier is mid‑chain, Flamers at the end but worth the grind
  5. Eternal/Sengoku – flexible slot; pick whichever archive is active. Each full clear ~20 hrs.

Total early‑grind time: ≈ 70 – 100 game hours spread across five seasons—doable within 6–8 weeks of casual play.

Quick Tips for Faster Unlocks

  1. Archive booster: buy 900 Sovereign fast‑track once per archive if time‑gated; saves ~6 hrs of grind.
  2. Play party siege – Often this easy up the process and time investment
  3. Unit mastery:
Whenever you can buy the mastery scroll out of event pages, ingame shops etc. These are mandatory to make certain units work (Paladins, MAA etc)

Sample Early‑Game Warband (Post‑Roadmap)

  • Spartan Chosen (shield anchor)
  • Phalanx (brace slayer)
  • Wuwei Mansion Guard (sustain brawler)
  • Flamethrowers (area denial)
  • Companion Cavalry (burst flank)
  • Paladins or Yanyuedao

Follow this roadmap and you’ll wield a competitive arsenal of S‑tier units long before most rookies finish their tech tree.
