• Rattan Armour – Lightweight woven rattan provides decent slashing resistance, but is weaker against fire and incendiary attacks.
• Shieldbearers – Ranged damage taken is reduced when the unit holds shields raised.

• Shield Rush – Charge in a direction, dealing heavy impact damage; charging soldiers take reduced damage. Cooldown: 60 s
• Dispersed – Loosely spread formation that reduces ranged damage.
